Terms and Conditions for Our Services
Statement
Green Spark Electrics is a trading name of APL Property Solutions Limited, and the company number is 12107082.
Agreement:
By engaging our services for electrical services, you agree to the terms and conditions outlined below.
Payment:
A detailed quote will be provided to the customer outlining the cost of materials, labour, and any other applicable charges. A deposit may be required before the commencement of work to pay for any products, with the remaining balance due upon completion once you are happy with the work completed. Payment terms and methods will be agreed upon in advance.
Scope of Work:
The scope of work for electrical work will be clearly defined and agreed upon by both parties. We do our best to cover any unforeseen work and, in many cases, cover this FOC, but structural, gas, painting, and roof work is not within our scope and may require a third party. Any changes or additional work required or requested by the customer may result in additional charges.
Rubbish Removal:
A skip will be required to dispose of the rubbish; we recommend a 4-yard skip, ideally positioned as close to the property as possible. Ideally, the skip will be positioned on the owner’s land to avoid any council fee, but if this is not possible, it will be added to the final invoice. If we are not able to fit all the rubbish in the skip, you will be given the option to dispose of this, or we can arrange a rubbish removal company, which would be an additional cost.
Products:
We only work on a supply and fit basis so we can guarantee the quality of the product and avoid delays. We require you to be onsite for the first day to check the products are correct, as any fitted items cannot be returned. If, for any reason, you change your mind and would like to make any changes, we must know prior to the removal of packaging, and a re-stocking fee could apply.
Delays and Changes:
Unforeseen circumstances or changes requested by the customer may result in delays to the project timeline. We will make every effort to communicate any changes or delays as soon as possible.
Insurance and Liability:
We carry appropriate insurance coverage, including liability insurance, to protect both the customer and ourselves during the bathroom installation. However, the customer is responsible for ensuring that their property is adequately covered or removed by insurance.
Warranty:
Each product has its own guarantee, and if you have any issue with any of our products, we will contact the supplier on your behalf to arrange replacements. We provide a warranty on our workmanship for a specified 2 years from the date of the installation, and any product defect will be FOC within this timescale. Any defects or issues arising from our work will be addressed and repaired promptly within the warranty period.
Protection:
We will cover all areas we plan to work with hard floor and carpet protection. If you require any spaces missed to be covered, please inform our fitter, and they will add extra. If you require the flooring protection to be renewed partway through the job, let our fitters know; however, an extra charge will be added to cover the cost of the protector.
Removal:
Electrical work like running cables can, in some cases, damage the opposing walls or existing landing and stairways. If you notice any damage, please inform our fitters, and we will make any repairs; however, painting is not within our scope of work and would require third-party charges.
Storage:
On the first day, all the products will be delivered onsite. We require a space of around 4m² for storage. This helps our fitter to know which product dimensions and also gives you the opportunity to check the items are correct and free from damage.
By engaging our services for electrical work, you acknowledge that you have read and understood these terms and conditions and agree to abide by them.
